This tournament which featured 19 and under age groups attracted a total of 12 entries most of the entries from Parklands Boys High School. There was high level of intense competition among the players and no serious case of indiscipline was witnessed. The players also took turns to mark and referee each others games voluntarily which was quite impressive.
The most exciting and dazzling Squash match was in the Under 16’s the match between Ilyaseen Nimji and Kevin Gichamba of Parklands Boys which ended with Ilyaseen who is 8yrs old winning 3-1.
The tournament was organized by the Kenya Squash Rackets association in conjunction with a Kenya Squash Coach David Mulwa who coaches a number of juniors in the country. Parklands Sports Club hosted the tournament and being one of the biggest supporters of squash game in Kenya has really been supporting KSRA in many ways.
Parklands Boys High School has shown quite an interest in squash and KSRA should focus on supporting them through coaching and tournaments.
In conclusion we are grateful to the Chairman, Parklands Sports Club, David Mulwa (Squash Coach), Players and their parents and lastly the KRSA team which facilitated the running of the tournament and saw a successful completion of it.
